Well as most of you know I am a huge Eagle fan. So in honor of them going to the superbowl I painted a Pro-Line 50s panel wagon to look like an Eagles helmet. Heres a few pics...

Looks great man, Was it a pretty easy airbrush? Wow you guys are making me interested in buying a airbrush set. Sounds really fun to paint these lids.

Candyman, I hope they can too. They are 7 point underdogs, I guess we will see.

Skyline, the airbrush wasn't the problem, the problem was the poopy liquid mask. But all in all I am really pleased with the way it came out.

Zandor, make sure you post pics. BTW what's a theam? lol.

The Mask didnt dry right or something NC? By the way, What gear do you use? And what would be a good compressor I could use thats portable and electric... doesn't have to be fancy, Just apartment storable. Thanks...

Thanks, I had to mix it myself. I used Faspearl green, and darkened it with Faspearl black. Two drops at a time till I got close, then one at a time till I got the color I wanted. Turned out to be 14 drops of black to aprox one ounce of green.

It dried fine, it was a total nightmare getting it all off. I use a Paasce VL brush, and a roaire compressor with a pressure regulator and water tap. A bit loud for an apartment though.

looks real nice NCNitro. Did you use liquid mask or something else? I've used bob divley's before. seems like that would have been a lot of cuts.
 
I hear you have to scrape the parma stuff off. The bob divley's worked real good for me it was just labor intensive. My lid required 20-25 long cuts and I really didn't have as many brand new exacto blades as should have. It was rough going. I swear I put about 15 hours into that lid just cutting the LMF.

Anyway the eagles lid rocks. You get a better appriciation for this stuff when you've tried your hand at it yourself. :)
 
Thanks for the compliments Freak. Yeah I had to scrape that poop off, it took forever, I lost count of how much time screwin with that mask took. I might give the Bob Dively stuff a try.
