you quoted... "the hot engine stalling condition is fixed with new piston and sleeve" why would anyone buy a new piston and sleeve when it's new out of the box??
I never said anything about the piston, sleeve or compression, it was all in the carb!
I got rid of the stock carb, replaced it with a new aluminum carb and bingo all my probs (and many others) where solved and by the way have you or anyone else ever noticed that in the setup dvd that everyone gets with there new tmaxx that the carb they have on their tmaxx is ALL ALUMINUM!!! Wonder why????? Check it out.

Where did you get that P2?
I'm gonna do me a custom tmaxx project with the P2 or the Sirio, a Super Skeleton (all aluminum chasis from the bottom all the way to the top (7075 t6 strength) and an airplane clank to keep the tmaxx running when flipped upside down) and so on and so on......

New piston and sleeve fixes the burned out piston and sleeve that people ruin when they don't break in the engine properly. Piston/sleeve fit can be ruined very quickly, as I'm sure you know. So, even though it's new, it needs replacing. Glad you fixed your problem with a simple carb swap.

I got my P2 at Werks racing. I think it was $199. Shop around though, you may find it cheaper as lots of places are selling it now. I was thinking of doing same type of chassis upgrade.

Thanks for the info on the OS carb, I might look into that. From what I've seen, a lot of the composite carbs on the 2.5 have epoxy or crazy glue on them from cracking. The carb that came with my stock .15 had an all aluminum body and needed no tuning other than a little tweek on the HSN for weather and temp.

Hey Chevy,
Seen that one too, Maybe in a couple of months it'll come down a tad. I still have to choose between that and the sirio. Have you heard anything on the sirio .18?

I put a Wasp .18 engine in one of my Maxx trucks since I had got tired of spending $16 to replace carbs every few months due to cracks. The Wasp cost me about $90 at my lhs and it has about a .5bhp increase than the trx 2.5. It doesn't seem like much; but when I finally ran that 6th tank thru it (I like to run at least 5 tanks during break-in), I leaned the hsn a bit and it took off. Tomorrow I'm going to lean it some more, I"m sure I'll get more power and speed at real good temps in comparison with my 2.5's.
