Ahh...the new great mystery of life....why do personal transponders cost so much?

Seriously, I'd like to know too, lol.
 
Everyone says get them off Ebay. You have to keep in mind, it is a transmitter and micro sizing electronics for transmitters isn't cheap not to mention keeping them in complience with FCC reg's.
 
because amb has the market cornered. they charge whatever they want, and tell thier dealers what to sell them at as well. if you hop on rctech.net, there is a guy on there who runs group buys for them on a regular basis. you can save a few bux that way but not a significant amount.
 
hey, the FCC could be worse...they could decide not to allow comedy central's late night stash or w/e. And we all know what that means....no South Park movie on TV!!!! AHHH!!!! THEY'D BAN THE BEST MOVIE IN THE WORLD!!! :arrr: :arrr: :arrr: :arrr: :argue: :argue: :argue:

Bouzouki don't blame the FCC Corrado has it dead nuts.....amb Sucks ass....I heard 5-8 years ago they were practically giving them away and now the RC market is so much bigger they are just raping everyone on price...and the technology they use hasn't changed in MANY years...I think their production costs would definately have gone down and they should have already recouped their design investment and profit already....time to cut costs and sell to the masses....boooo amb...

Last summer alone I paid $60.
Just to show the jump in price.
AMB sucks ass for charging so much.
