Where can Pepper Spray be purchased? A lady asked me about it today, but since I hadn't shopped for it myself, I had no idea. I told her I'd get the info and let her know tomorrow.
Don't taze me bro.

you can get bear spray at just about any outdoor sports store that i know of. as for pepper spray, I've only seen it sporadically, again at outdoor sports stores. id guess that any store that carries running/jogging/walking stuff besides clothes and shoes might have it.

but bear spray is a lot more fun

Any sporting goods store that carries firearms and things like that will carry it. Wal-Mart used to carry the kind that went on keychains for women's defense, but I dont know if they still do, now that you have to show ID to buy white-out.

The good stuff can only be purchased through police supply places, and it's a lot different. My friends and I did plenty of testing on each other in high school, and the keychain stuff is a walk in the park compared to the stuff that the cops carry.

The harshest stuff I've ever seen was some sort of tear gas that the corrections officers use in correctional facilities. Years ago when I was locked up, the warden got tired of dealing with problems in our cell block and gave a special treat. Literally, just trying to breath felt like someone was holding my head submerged in a 5 gallon bucket of laquer thinner or MEK. I havent experienced anything that bad in my life, it didn't burn like pepper spray, but it was a lot worse to me because it gave the effect that you were drowning.

Ralph, what were you doing to the poor lady to cause her to bring up the topic of pepper spray?

There's a guy in the other building who has been harassing her, and on the 16th of October, management goes to court to have him evicted. I've also gotten a notice to appear to testify.

Good link, ImBroken. I printed out the pages and I'll give them to her tomorrow.
Thanks for the info.

EDIT": To buy, Alpine.

C'mon guys... you know Rolex just wants to flavor his mashed turkey dinner they serve him at the nursing home! :stick:

Sorry bro... couldn't resist!

kimber guardian angel

Nope, cap-stun. Much worse. Its oil based, so it sticks and seeps into pores better than the gurdian angel.

Dont believe any of that "law enforcement strengh" crap, it should be "law enforcement only" If it actually were law enforcement strength, then you couldnt buy it, unless you were law enforcement. I've been hit with about 7 different brands. This stuff is the worst.

Rolex,

We have a place here in Lexington called Galls which is a law enforcement / security / emergency medical store. Pretty much anything those guys use Galls sells.

Even though I've never been into the store here in Lexington, it's only about 5mins away from my house. I could pick you up some there if you'd like. Or check and see if they have a store near you!

What ever happen to just good old fashioned CS gas I love that stuff me and bro's in the army would see who could stay in the gas chamber the longest with their masks off. Although one time during a training event they gassed us just to see how quick we could react. I grabbed my mask threw it on my face went to pull straps tight, and ripped them right off the mask. I took off running holding mask tight on face they are yelling at me where the hell are you going soldier.

Yea, the CS tent was pretty bad, but nothing compared to the spray day.

When Alpine sent me that picture a while back, my step dad, who owns his own companies and has employees that get mad when they dont get away with murder, posted this picture in his office door with a sign saying "And you think *I'm* hard to work for? Enter at your own risk to find out how tough some people have it on the job"

He didn't get many people bothering him over petty stuff for a while.

There are a selection of pepper spray at Fry's Electronic. BUT brass knuckles are much better :D
