Hyper 8 port at The Nationals
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Paul Coleman used a "stock" Hyper 8 Port sports at the Nationals last weekend. He won the C'main with it and was leading the B'main, but pit guy didn't get the tank full and he flamed out. So if anyone wants to know how good it is, there you have it....hyper 8 engines could race against other big name engines or then again it could be just driving skills. what do you think??

C-main? B-main? I would think a pro driver with his name on a car should be able to at least make the a-mains. Even if he has a stock hyper 8 port...

he's talkin bout the roar nats, many drivers were there and 'pros' persay were down as far as the "I" main.

Wow... i never knew there were so many mains... There must have been a crap load of people there!!!!

i just wonder why was he using a hyper 8 sport engine?

well, there is PCR upgrades for the hyper 7, he just came out with PCR upgrades for the ultra buggies, poop who knows maybe he's trying to see how to improve the hyper engines.

marty korn didnt get his CL1 buggy done in time, so he ran the storm. YEH, the old storm! and he was in the 'A". sadly lost a conical gear a couple min in. shows you dont have to have the latest buggy to get to 'the show'.

Paul was using that motor b.c. i puts out just enought power for type of track.

that track had to much traction believe it or not. some spots was rough as H### and most part of it had super traction. Pros never use all there motor.

3/4 at the most. u will never see a pro motor go WOT.

So that said. people need to understand that just b.c. you have that C5 or a Mod etc. does not mean you need or can use all that power.

over all he did super i had to call him to tell him so.

think weve talked about this sprt of thing in the past, give a pro any car and he will do well with it, its just how long he will do well with it before it falls to peices or blows up

how long are each main event, and the qualf rounds?

ok, so he used the h8 engine with a 3 chamber pipe for smooth rpm's and better traction, cool setup...
