Well I have decided to do a tear down and rebuilt my tired old beater rig known as Patch's. Going to stay with the old short #4910 maxx chassis going to put an FLM chassis I have had to good use. Going to update with new #4907 maxx parts though with some custom configuring Lol! I'll get some pics up soon. In the tear down stages of two different rigs! With some epig sales pending! Giving me a small break from the scale crawler seen for a bit.

Sweet man, I look forward to seeing some pics. I actually just started throwing some T-Maxx parts together the other night, I may get it going some time in 2015. lol

Looking forward to watching the rebuild, the Maxx is still one of my favorites!

Ok so stuffs moving slow with me being under the weather and all. Here's some pics of the FLM chassis. I got my Tekno wing mount setup on the rear tower. Hope to get my RPM bulks ordered, wing and an Ofna violator fuel tank. The aluminum shock towers will be about the end of the bling, gonna keep it light.

Considering ordering a new Picco .21 max for the rebuild but my current ofna picco is running awesome still. Trying to stay on a budget for this rebuild lol!

Well some progress tonight. I decided to use a set new grey bulks I had for now, I went some what over buying those new brushless maxx diffs lol. Hope to get my wing ordered tonight maybe.

Well I got my wing ordered last night. Figured I would tear into my ole Picco .21 to see what kinda condition it really is in, umm took a little more damage than I thought. The stock cool head was cracked under the glow plug can't believe it ran strong still with it cracked. Found that my carb was loose from a missing carb pinch bolt and it still had no air leaks the last run I had with it. I got lucky my nephew has a CNMC machined aftermarket cool head and the other parts I need for repairs thank goodness cause she still has awesome compression even after all the abuse I have put it through!

Thanks bro! I beat this rig HARD! So trying to put it together fairly strong, I doubt those aluminum shock towers hold up long. Going to source a set of FLM ones soon to put back for when these bend but hey thought I would put them to good use.

To this day I'm still undecided if aluminum shock towers are better than plastic or vise versa. I'm pretty happy with both.

I would have went with a set off RPM towers but I needed a little more adjustability for those buggy shocks I am running. Plus I have destroyed several headers in the pst due to the extra flex the RPM towers have.

Sweet I won me a brand new Macs torque thrust pipe tonight for the rebuild. Basically a cheap economy version of the ECRM pipes.

Looking good bro, I love those white arms! Your making me miss my old maxx

Have you given any thought to getting some 7075 flat stock from ebay and using your integy towers as a pattern, then cut out your own from the flat stock?
You could drill the 4 mount holes and bolt the pattern tower down to drill the rest.

I figure if these give out I'll just get a set of FLM's I know they take a beating. I figure these will hold up fine for awhile.

Been doing some wrenching last few days. Got the Picco put back together. Stuck waiting on my parts to come in now. Heres what I got so far. Had to source another set of #4909 maxx pinion gears for my brushless diffs so my drive line would measure up correctly I got lucky and had a decent used set laying around. So far, got a GPM lightened flywheel, MIP clutch, ACNMC cool head may cut it down some not sure. Brushless maxx diffs, FOC #4909 maxx transmission.
