I'm in the middle of painting a body and my airbrush will not work. This is the brish I'm using, http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDD38&P=ML. It will spray a nice stream of lacker thinner however Faskolor is a whole other story. The compressor is at 30psi. The gun is nice and clean. Any suggestions? I'm thinking maybe the needle I'm using is too fat but i have no clue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you may need to thin it.

Yup, thin the Faskolor. Use a few drops of water, or a spritz of windex works good, too. Also make sure you're using either the medium (#3) or large (#5) needle and tip.

Candyman, I have also read that you can use DA to thin fascolor, and that it works well. I have not personally tried it myself though yet.

Ok, thanks you two. This is a failed painting job it looks like crap now. What paint do you guys use?

This faskolor doesn't stick to the body it runs off regardless of how thin i put it on. Or how much water i add to thin it.

If you thin it too much, it will run.
You have to use a lot of air when spraying water base paint.
Is that VL a dual stage brush?

The paint runs? Now that's odd because Faskolor is a pretty heavy paint. How do you prepare your body before you paint? Make sure you wash the inside of the body throughly with warm soapy water and then dry it good. You can also spray it with DA and wipe it out just before you paint to make sure all the mold release is off it. If not, the paint will bead up and won't stick.

For the record, I still use a lot of Faskolor, but am gradually switching to Pactra water-based. It's thinner and easier to use.

I prefer Pactra Acryl over Faskolor any day! It adheres better, covers better, sprays better, I just find it way better over all.
