So after 3 1/2 weeks of waiting my new Ofna .28 JL and random other upgrades and needed parts are here for my Revo chassis... so excited to finally have it running.

Nice dude, this is my favorite part! You gotta give us a review on the .28 max engine

It's a sweet motor, I have one also. You might wanna consider the RRP forward only steel transmission gears. It's a powerful motor, easy to tune. Once you have it set there pretty much is no more adjusting. I got mine up to 46 mph with stock exhaust. I now have an ERCM pipe. can't wait till the snow is all gone and see how it does.

Couldn't wait to get started so I quickly mocked up the Ofna and set it next to my other stock Revo.

Deffinetely go with the steel rrp gears, the picco .26 eats the stock gears so

+1 on the RRP gears. I went through 2 sets of stock gears with my .26 Maxx before switching.

I just picked up a set of RR gears of the bay for $25! I will be going BB in the future and want to be ready for it! That motor looks sweet!

Man this builds lookin good so far. I am hoping to do a build using the Ofna .28 engine eventually. I want to shoe horn one into my short chassis maxx.

Well crap...that's not going to work. I guess a big block pipe is not what I need. Found out this is apparently a mid block? Any one know what I need for this? Just a regular revo manifold and pipe?

I used the traxxas spring mount manifold and stock revo muffler for the end of summer. Now I'm using same manifold with an ERCM pipe.

Those mid blocks work best with a bb pipe man, even the .26 size get choked ! you need the proper/different header

when I first got this engine I used the traxxas bb manifold coupled to the stock muffler and drilled the stinger out to its max
I am also using one of racer 1966's bb adaptor so I can run the bb manifold
I just got a knock off trinity pipe combo and had a bit of a fiddle to get it to sit right , maybe a different manifold is in order

Well thought I would throw up a couple updates. Got it all together only to find out the exhaust does not fit right. I bought an rd logics BB exhaust which came with the header and the pipe but it does not quite go together. I could probably force it but that's not how I do things...so I will be cutting the header pipe and welding it back together in the right position. Also found out the body I had that I thought would work is for a short chassis Revo or Tmaxx not the extended. Has anyone used one from a short chassis? Will it look dumb? Its a pro line crowd pleaser body with black graphics. Still brand new never cut or painted! Still deciding if I want to use it or sell it. Here are some pics.

update

Well its been a while since I have been on here so I thought I would throw up some more recent pics. Still have not had a chance to break in the engine as the weather and time has not wanted in my favor. Should be soon though. here is how she sits now. body is actually for a short chassis revo but I made the best of it. Also had to do a little custom exhaust work and cut and weld the brand new header pipe to make things fit properly. can't wait to start bashing. :first_place:
