If you are using the lexan paint on a new body and have several coats of paint on it already is it safe to put several coats of the non lexan paint on it as a final coat as well as the put additional layers of paint to toughen it up?

I have tried that and trashed a nice paint job.
Stick with the same type of paint.
I use fascote under coating. Hard as nails.

Correct. IMO
If you want, try it on a painted scrap.
The two brands I used didnt work well together, but yours might.
Give it a try.

I already did. Yet again, I put caution away and did what I was planning on trying anyway. As far as dry to touch it is more or less not doing anything freaky but I'll check later tonight when I add another coat of paint. Maybe I'll never notice until I get it beat and see the paint flaking away.

i would think spray primer would work well.

Maybe. The paint seemed to hold up well until my t was run over by a BMW and the paint chipped away in a few spots.
