Anyone know where i could find some paint masks online ? i had a site before, but it recently got closed and now that i need one of the masks off it, i can't get it (figures) ... so if anyone could tell me a good one id appreciate it

do u just want a site where u can order them, or do u want to be able to print them off the net?

if u just want the masks - u can find lots at www.xxxmain.com

i dont know where u can find them as .pdf files, but i dont see how it would work anyway, ,unless u had laminate paper in your printer

This is what I have done to create my own masks...find a design you like then print and/or trace it out onto plain paper.

Take some contact paper (usually found in every hardware or craft store or even Target or K-Mart). Contact paper is the stuff you use to cover wood shelves with or line the bottom of your dresser drawers. Anyway, take this paper and place your design ontop. Using an exacto knife with a brand new blade (this is very important) score the contact paper with the design you want.

This is not rocket science but it may take you a few tries to make the mask you want. Be patient and take your time. Once you have your mask cut out you can peal the backing away from the contact paper and place it on your lid.

You may have to try different bands of contact paper. Try to stay away from the stuff that says it will last forever. Youll never be able to completely remove it once stuck to the inside of your body.

In the mean time...here are some sites that will help give you ideas, tips and sample masks.

www.rcxotic.com has some good ones ment for touring cars but they will fit on other stuff, but apparently their website is down.

Also you can lay stips of masking tape on a cutting board so that the strips of masking tape overlap some draw your design on the masking tape "piece of paper" and then cut it out w/an exacto knife. peel the design up and voila your very own homeade paint mask.

yeha, rcxotic was where i was looking.... i can make my own masks , I'm just looking for something to trace to make a design ... i need to find one of a panther/jaguar/something like that
