O.K. O.K. I know, new is better, BUT, is there any way I can keep my one way bearing from slipping? I take it out, clean it, start the truck, run it, stop it to fuel up, TRY to start it,.......SLIPPING!!!! AAAAAAHH!!!! I repeat first steps, do it all again. Is the oil or something getting to it? Any seals that need replaced? I want to make sure, befor I buy a new one. Thanks guys
 
Don't shut the engine off to fuel up. Try to time out how long a tank will get you, and set your watch timer, or cell phone timer, or just run the truck by to see how low the fuel is from time to time.
 
I never had issues with them slipping, but they would break if I didn't back my glow plug off 1/4 turn when starting my Savage. Try it, I bet it fires right up.
 
You could use some 1000 grit sand paper on the starter shaft, but it's probably your fuel. Too much oil content usually causes this to happen.
 
I found when I ran Traxxas fuel back in the day I had tons of OWB problems...running on the rich side also contributes to the problem. Which engine do you have? Is it an internal OWB or external on the shaft?
 
I use traxxas 20% nitro, and an external on a HPI .25 with roto start. I also have a savage 4.6, same fuel, no probs. I just bought a new owb, when it gets here I'll give it a try.
