I just installed a hyper engine and I am noticing that during breakin the engine would sometimes continue to rev high even though the throttle was closed. The other problem that I am having is that sometimes it it rev's really loud but the truck doesn't move until i blip the throttle a couple of times then it runs fine. I am running a ofne three shoe clutch and the ongine is brand new. Any ideas????

Just a guess at this point, but your clutch might not be engaging. The new clutch "springs" might be just a tad too stiff. I'd give them a look.

As for the excessive rev during break-in, I'd say that it sounds like the carb was leaning itself out. You might check the needles to be certain that nothing is blocking or partially blocking them. Just remove the carb, and then remove the needles. Check for anything in the hole where the needle seats that shouldn't be there. I have heard of new carbs sometimes having rubber shavings or plastic shavings in the areas around the needles. This "self" leaning of the carb will cause what you described.

You may also be wondering about the source for air if the carb is closed. The Ofna carb has a tendancy to leak near the throttle arm. This could be the case on yours. That gives air to mix with the "leaner" fuel condition...causing the revving.

thats the same thing that happens to me, i start it then i rev it and it barely moves s i have to push it like almost fll throttle for it to start movin but then i runs fine. sorry if this sounds like a spam.
