Well.... I finally decided to pull the Maxx off the shelf, for a lil TLC.. I'll be doing a complete teardown, and rebuild. This was my first love back when I joined RCNT. It has been to 3 RCNT bashes, and has held it's own with the Savages..
My goal is to get all my R/C's cleaned and fixed this winter.. I may breakdown and run the Savage in the snow... lol I know, wussss...

LOL 2 grand down and another grand to go. :D
I took mine apart and sold it part by part just to separate all the evil to the four corners of the world so It could never haunt me or possess one of my other RCs. :cheers:

LOL.. I just couldn't convince myself to get rid of it... Too much blood, sweat & tears have gone into it.... I will rebuild her... lol

Just clean that bad boy up, and shelf it.
You'll have to get a third job just to pay for repairs if you wreck it...
 
what are your plans for rebuilding it? Cybermaxx'in it? My Tmaxx was alot easier and more fun to work on than my savage. I like how everything just out there and not tucked away. But I guess that could be a draw back as well. Good luck with the build and be sure to post up pics so we can follow along.

I'm not going to change much... No Cybermaxx kit.... I've never been one for full cages. Just gonna change out the A-arms with some new Black RPM's I have in my spares box, replace a few bent tie rods & a leaking fuel tank. I may throw a new mill in it for next season.. I have a new set of rims/tires, and an unpainted lid sittin here beggin for paint..
 
That damn Florida gunk is all over this thing... lol Not to mention the pile of prickly buds I've been picking out of my drivetrain...

What ya gonna drop into it? I had the .21 hyper 8 port in my maxx as well.
There are times Id like to have my maxx still, but I think its more as sentamental (Sp) value since it was my 1st Rc. Also since I dropped so much dough into it, and lost my ass on it. Was a awesome truck to start out with though for sure!

Those are exactly the same reasons I still have mine and wont sell it.
 
It's funny because I think we all have a ridiculous T-maxx in the stash.....and they are awsome trucks still, but just because it's a T-maxx it's like a taboo......but they aren't even T-maxxes anymore.....

makes it a whole new truck.....one of the projects I'm clearing stuff to do is the old maxx....just need to drop an RB .23 in it........
WHat's everyone elses excuse ...eeerrr I mean "reason" for the maxx not running???????

I was seriously debating whether to dump more $$ into it with the wider arms and CVD's, but I just dont know... I saw a FULL blown Supermaxx sell on Ebay awhile back, for $380... That's just wrong.... lol I guess, if I can get a good deal on some CVD's it might be worth it.. The RB .28 would be a sweet mill...
