RC Driving Style
Hey, fellas, any other good rc web sites I should know about. I get so much of my info from the web, I just though I would ask to see where everyone else surfes instead of looking around forever for good info and prices on stuff. THanks

Brandon

well what kind of RC do you own? hpi tamiya.. there are deticated things like savage central, and general ones like this one.. those are my 2 favs.. but i have found a few other general ones.. people tend to be snoby, but some good pics and views of things you dont normally see..

http://www.rcnitro.com/ good, informative articles on Nitro R/C cars and trucks.

http://www.rccaraction.com/ again, more good info but split between Nitro and Electric (yuk :x ). They also have a list of local tracks which is awesome.

http://www.towerhobbies.com/ Tower has a “NOTES FROM OUR TECH DEPARTMENT” section for just about every product. Most times, it’s information you can’t get anywhere else. I don't buy from tower because my LHS is cheaper and I don’t have to pay shipping.

http://www.radiocontrolzone.com I think I'm going to be slapped by our admin, but this is another forum like this one. They have a section dedicated to just about every R/C vehicle out there. You can converse with several others that have the exact same R/C you have. It's nice for information, but the people are not as nice as they are here.

http://www.rcuniverse.com/ This is a HUGE forum. I don't go there really. They seem to be geared for airplanes mostly. Again, huge forums are not as personal as small one's like this one.

That's all I can think of right now.

You won't be alone in that decision

For sure. I'm not new to message boards by any means, and now a good one when I see it. I'm thinking you guy's are going to like seeing the learning curve and what not I'm going to show you. I hope to be a threat in the local scene buy the end of the summer. And maybe look into doing some regional racing next season.

I've got 3 deals working right now.

A buddy wants to sell me his old rc10t, and two kinwald edition xx buggies along with all his old batteries, chargers, controlers, esc's etc etc for 300 bucks. I'm going to look at the stuff, and come to a decision. I may buy some of this stuff and race a buggy to get a feel for things while I'm building a xxxnt to race.

I have another buddy that has a couple of t-maxxes around. I'm going to try and get one of em from him so I'll have somthing to bash. If not I'll probably buy a savage. This will be for bashing, and no racing.

All while I'm fine tuning driveing and tunning skills so I can compete with the xxxnt.

Then to eventually do a 1/8 buggy.

So right now I have no driving time at all, no tunning at all, have assembled 2 kits and enjoyed that. And am chomping at the bit to get going. The sooner the better.

I would love to do some onraod stuff, but noone around here races that stuff. with the exception of a small indoor track that only does electric. I may look into this later on.

Yeah I did whether they liked it or not.........I'm like a bad hemroid....I dont go away. Speaking of hemroids have you ever wiped one so hard it came of emmm ouch!

BTW: There are other RC sites? Where?

This site is the best!!! I've gone to some others, but they're kind of dead. As for the savage forums, RCNT is the best.

I need to buy a Savage so I can own that forum.:hehe:
