I bought a OS TZ .18 for 50 dollars. I has 1 gallon though will this work in my revo are they good engines?

I think the OS TZ is a bump start racing engine. I think some guys run those at our track in the Revo.I am no expert on OS engines though so I am not sure. You may need to run a side pipe with it also not sure.

I'm not 100% sure but i think the crank is too short on the TZ motor. but put it next to you stock revo motor and check it out. other than that i think the bolt holes line up

the stroke is 15 or 16 mm. i put it in my truck yesterday and when out with my buddy who has a 18 tm and i was doing circles around him. I geuss thats the advantages of having a turbo engine. I love it

i think the TZ model was designed for on road. but hey if it work. do it man. sounds like its working for you

according to os the tz is made for onroad if it has the k model 3 needle carb and made for offroad with the k model 2 needle carb also includes a pulstart from the factory but must run turbo style glow plugs

the pullstart version is a threaded crank version.

you need a SG crank or a clutch adapter.
traxxas has a clutch adapter that works with the TZ in the revo.
one of the other versions of the TZ is the bump start version which has an
SG crank but it is a different length and has no ring cut on the end of it for a E clip.
for that version you need to cut the crank and install a clutch adapter.

very easy to do.
the TZ lays down some serious power
i have owned several of them
