I have been wondering if I would like roto starts and I still haven't decided, but I would like to be able to start a Roto os30VG with pull start..
Whats required to do this 'conversion'?

I think I need the back plate ,the starter shaft ,and pull start correct?

Links or part numbers would be VERY helpful!

Thanks!

Oh and is there a better pull start then This one for the os30VG?

And lastly I have been reading on os30 VGs having bad bearings and I heard that they needed to be replaced with TKO(I think thats the brand that I was reading about)

Bearings for engines aren't exactly cheap so I want to get it right the first time..

I would also like to know if there are any screws that I can replace the back plate Phillips screws with?
I would like some good Hex screws.
Thanks!

I beleive if you have the rotostart already , you would need to simply remove the roto backplate and replace it with the Pullstart. That is how I did the Revo at one point. As far as pullstarts...not sure.

Have you ever thought of going starterbox? RD Racing allows for it but you would need a different flywheel, engine mounts and the Starterbox as well.

I have given a starter box thought, but I have been spoiled by my revo with pull start and I have Really grown to like pull starts!

With the pull start I don't see what the difference is between the recoil version of the crankshaft or the rear adapter versus the roto start adapter and the crank.

So just to be sure you think I can just take off this:Roto start part and put on this:Pull start and I will be able to run like that with out the recoil crankshaft or rear adapter?

as long I it won't hurt any thing I'm up for trying it.

I'm not trying to say your wrong I'm just making sure I didn't misunderstand.

Thanks for your help!
