OS .18tm questions...

Hey guys I'm about to pick one of these up for a deal and am wondering a few questions. This one comes with the RD backplate and the spacers, I don't have a starterbox, and I'm wondering if the 2.5 backplate fits on the TM? I know its a long shot but for the price I can't pass it up.

IF it doesn't I can still start it. I have an airplane starter with a wheel, but rotostart is much easier.

The 2.5R backplate for the sneazy start or just a blank backplate? I know the blank backplate for using a starter box for the 2.5R is too deep for the OS. The OS backplate works on both the TM and TZ. If you looking to use a rotostart it might be too deep too. If it already has the back plate installed chances are the tit is cut off the crank to engage a roto or eazy start. If it's not and your looking to get rid of the back plate and piston spacer let me know. Hope you can make heads or tails out of my ramblings I'm still a little doped up.

I kinda figured that. If I can find a crank to trade then I might go that way. Do you want to trade crank/backplate? I told the guy I'll take it anyway. For the price I couldn't say no.

I should be able to keep up with my dad now!

Ben, are you looking to put on a TRX backplate? Or pullstart? I guess I am a little confused about what you are working on.

Either way it won't work. The nub has been taken off so its strictly a starter box mill. Well unless I can find somebody to swap crankshafts/backplates.

Either way I'll be able to use it and kick some ars!
