OS .18 vs XTM .18

Alright fellas lets settle this for once and for all. Which engine kicks more butt.......the OS .18 or the XTM .18 ?


I need to know so i may purchase. I looked at all the previous thread, but know one really spoke of the OS .18 from experience. Pleae someone who has a OS 18 in there Tmax speak.

Which engine makes the Tmax do wheelies? And since both engines cost $99 dollars, which one would you get.

I have a maxx that I just put an OS .18 TM in. It'll git err done. Can't keep the thing from flipping on it's lid..........need throtle control! It'll wheelie to the point where you need to really try not to.
I've alway's been an OS guy. If I use a different motor I put an OS carb on it. They hold a tune better then any other motor I have used. I have driven the maxx and revo with .21+ size engines and it is too much imo. Raises the cg too high and the things are undrivable....well if you just want to bash with out running over to flip it back on it's wheels all of the time. I do get the really f'n big engine thing. It is cool. But too much of a pain in the ass if you just want to bash imo.
In answer to your question, the OS .18 TM will rip wheelies all day long, and stand up again when it hits second gear. And i have the 23 T bell in mine. anything smaller would be nuts.

thanks for answering my post. Tell me something give me the extra model os 18 engine you brought. and what modifications and extra parts did you have to buy for it to go onto your tmax.

Hey Louis just go see jim at southeast....tell him I sent you and he'll hook U up w/ everything...the mill is about 200 and a pipe's around 50...if you haven't upgraded your clutch and clutch bell yet I might have something for you.....
