What are some leading home made exhaust setups that work. I put a RC10GT Pipe on and big boy header. Took some work making a wire to hold the pipe. Seems to really haul but I have nothing to compare it too. I am looking for other ideas that can be done at home with existing parts or small purchases.

Also, do stingers work or not. I am stuck in an argument with a buddy. All the best and thinks for the help.

The setup you have is one of the better combinations available.
Unless you really want to try different setups, I would keep what you have.

As far as stingers go, I ASSUME you are referring to the stinger exhaust setup that uses the inverted exhaust manifold.

Yes they work, but not well. The inverted manifold doesn't allow the un-burnt fuel and oil drain away from the engine. The oil will flow back into the engine and cause erratic behavior, fouled plugs and tuning issues. (IMO)

Fast Eddy is right about the stinger setup, also they are prone to clogging up with dirt when the truck lands on it's rear.

But they do sound cool and give a good low end punch. In my opinion the cons outweigh the pro's.

I have tried several header and pipe combos, and I now use the AE tuned pipe and Duratrax big tube, and love it. I also agree with both Eddy and Flattop on the MIP stinger. Had one took it off.
