ok i have an os .12 cv and i have a problem with the needle settings i have the carb opening about 1/32 which is normal and i have the needle settings to mysts settings on his website http://www.rc10gthobby.com/~mystracing/RaceFrame1Carb's.htm
and when i start it i have to push the throttle a little to get it to start and when it does it wants to spin uncontrollably you know what i mean SUPER high rev and wheels spinin FAST just any help would be awesome

also i would like to be able to hold the brake in to stop but when i do the engine just dies any ideas would be awesome

Sounds like a throttle setting on your radio. Try backing it down a little.
Also, if it stalls when you hit breaks, your Idle stop screw has to be adjusted.
Might also be a linkage problem....

Also check your engine for air leaks around the needles, base of the carb, behind the flywheel and under the cooling head. The best way to check is to get some nitro cleaner and spray it in these areas (one at a time). If the engine dies when sprayed in certain areas, that's where your air leak is located. My brother and I had the same problem when I got a Rody Roem RB, free!, from someone who couldn't get the engine to hold a tune.

After it started, it would rev so high that immediate shutdown was necessary. Found all the leaks and sealed the engine. It runs like a champ and we estimate that there isn't even a gallon through it because compression is so tight.

Give it a try. Also do what Ratzo suggested as well.

ok done everything i have known in the world to do I'm going to the lhs tom and getting the boss to fix it

problem solved in a way i am still trying to tweak with it a little I'm going to have to tweak the low end because i bog when i start going if you know what i mean

If you are bogging down when starting off (as if it's clearing it's throat) lean out the LSN an 1/8 of a turn. Make a couple of passes and if it keeps on doing it, adjust another 1/8 of a turn.

If it stalls when you hit the brake, it's a mechanical adjustment. The carb is not closing to minimum idle when you just let off the throttle, but then gets pushed closed by the servo when you hit brakes. Without the engine running, adjust your linkage till the idle closes, and can not go in any more when you hit brakes.
When you restart the car, you will have to adjust your idle screw to get it up to where it will now idle.
Don't use the trim adjustment on the radio to adjust the idle, it has to be done mechanically. I keep my trim ALL the way down, and just bring it up for warming up.

if this is the cv that I traded you, it's without a doubt just an air leak somewhere. I had that problem with the truck when I first fired it up. Sealed everything up, and then break in went fine.

When I put the truck up for storage, I cleaned and oiled the entire motor, so you will have to go through the sealing process again.
