hi, i have reverse on my revo 2.5r. what exaclty optidrive can i remove it and i still wanna keep reverse. thanks
 
Yes, you can remove the OptiDrive and keep reverse. Just be sure to plug the hole in the transmission and plug the reverse servo into channel 3 on the receiver. Also make sure to FULLY STOP before switching to reverse or you WILL ruin the transmission.
 
sounds like a hassle for me. its either keep the optidrive and servo. or go for the FOC.

let me know if you optidrive is bad or your sensor or servo is bad either. i still have all of them from when i did my FOC
 
You can do it But, as stated one slip and your gonna smoke your transmission. All its gonna take is for your thumb to slip and throw that switch while your WOT and then its game over. I suggest FOC and pick a better line to give yourself room to turn, or else do some walking if you get in a jamb. With FOC you get to lose the weight of a few gears, The opti drive, and the shift servo.
