I have a tmaxx with a single speed tranny in it now because i didnt have a tq3 contoller...Thanks to Revo_Rob_1984 he sent me a tq3 so no i can put the two speed tranny in my maxx!..He also sent and opti drive is that something i need and if so how do i hook it up?
 
Opti-junks are supposed to keep the driver from accidentally going from reverse to forward and vise-versa while the truck is moving. You don't need it.

Unless you have an opti-drive transmission, then no. However, if you did have one in your rig, then you would already have the module installed.

The 2 speed tranny works with a 2 channel controller. The only reason you would need a 3 channel is if you wanted to have reverse.
