Opti Drive

Is there any thing different with the opti drive that they would have put in an old revo 5310 and a current model?

I ask this because I am putting a new 2.4 radio (model 2238 with rec 2218) in my revo and now I am having issues. steering works yet I am hearing a buzzing noise. Guy at traxxas support states that I need to update the opti drive yet they are the same part number and reason why I doubt this guy is because the guy before him said that I could find my answer on there web site. :\

The buzzing maybe from the servo. What servo(s) are you running?

2055 on the throttle and 2060 , the 2060 is buzzing. just to rule out possibilities i put the old receiver back in and they function properly.

Mine will buzz if trim is off just enough but not enough to move servo.

Yeah start with that. Adjust the trim on your radio with fine adjustments and see if it will stop
