This is an autopsy shot of my RB S7-II engine
It's had a few gallons (ODonnels 25%) thru it, has good compression and some pinch.
I'd just like an opinion on the the condition of it. This photo doesn't tell me much, admittedly I don't rip engines apart that much.

Looks like it has quite a bit of carbon build up which is normal and you might have gotten it too hot a few times. If it's still running good, don't worry about it. Just make sure you lean it real good before putting it back together.

S7-ii

JBone,

Thanks for that. What's the best method of removing the carbon buiildup without a complete teardown? Excuse my lame assed questions :¬)

The photo is pretty good. The clarity is fine as well as the subject matter. You can use a little back lighting to eliminate the shadows.

Geez, what a smart ass! :jk:

You can use a little carb/choke cleaner, spray it on the piston head and then use a Q-tip to clean it. I did that once on one of my plane engines, worked like a charm.

Thanks guys :¬)

LMAO at you lot... I'll have to be more selective on my Topic titles from now on
Thanks for the input guys, incl. Fast Eddy for the photo crit!
I'll give it a good cleanup during the week. This is a spare engine I plan on putting into the CRT truggy.
