Another project on the bench, this one out of necessity. It was pretty fun out the box, but short lived . Never really got it completely dialed in before the latest issue.

Pretty sure our issue now is the coupler/shaft slipping, but there may be self inflicted electronic issues as well .

Anyways, this was already in order from the start.

New cooling jacket and couple in.

New stinger and shaft in place.

I was going to stop here for today and test it, but…

I better install the new rudder with dual pick up . It ran fairly warm with stock prop

Stock tabs vs the dual tab setup. The hull is already pre molded with the extra blind holes for the extended tabs

Also noticed when taking this pic why the damn thing kept pulling so hard one way, the outer tab musta hit something cause it’s bent in pretty good. Gonna finish the other tabs and replace the fins, then try to get it on the water

Got out to test it, kept having issues with it cutting power. Didn’t bring the temp gun, but it would make a full throttle pass then cut power. Could drive around and cool it off and it would go again. Could be batteries too I guess, got another set charging to try after dinner

I don’t have a screen shot from stock form. It was 46 or 48 if I remember correctly. This is what we got today
