Just picked this baby up new off of fleabay. Got it for $217.50 shipped. Not a bad deal. It got here in like 2 days also. I am looking forward to using this radio. I have never owned a synth radio before.

That is a good deal. I saw it at my LHS Friday for $219. Too bad I just freakin got an XS3 setup a few months ago :( I really like how much smaller the RX is than the standard XS3. Very sweet :)

My LHS has it for $249.... $219 is not bad for a LHS.
 
Yeah, they usually have everything cheaper than anywhere on the web. You definately got a deal :smoke:
 
I would like to pic up an extra reciever.... but there so damm expensive. I may go with a crystal setup on the second one. I probably wont though lol
 
Can you use a crystal RX with the Synth TX? I thought about that and me and a buddy tried doing it with a Hitec, Futaba and a couple different JR ones and we couldn't get any of 'em to work. If you do find one that works, I would definately be interested in hearing which one it is. You're right, those synth RX add up quick at $75 a pop!
 
Even the crystal Receivers futaba micro go for $50.

I finally seen one of those (new models) for the first time this week. Impressive feel and damn nice setup options etc..

That is a sweet radio. It comes with a new 310 rx that is supposed to fix all the glitching and reliability problems of the 300 rx. I checked and the 310 is reportedly not available separately until late August.

Elway, you can use a crystal rx with the JR synth tx, but the reciever and crystal have to be JR or JR compatable.
 
Nice purchase msly. Once you go synth you will never go back. :) I was lucky enough to get a NIB RS300 receiver on eBay for like $24 below Horizon's price. Just need to keep an eye out for the good deals. hehe
