Ok, well if my buggy does sell I want to get this set up.

Onroad Car: Trinity G4

Body: Mazda RX7 by HPI

Tires: Hypergrip Radio Tires mounted on Speedster Chrome Wheels x2

Exhaust adn Header: Paris Turbo Ring Pipe and Ofna Rear Exhaust Manifold

Engine: OS .15 CV-RX

Radio System: JR Racing XR3
I think this is a good set up, but I have 1 question. Do you think that the engine will be good enough or should I go for a different 1. Everyone post ur .02! As you can tell, I want this car to be tight.
:hehe:
I could either get this set up or....a yokomo gt4

ya i think thats a pretty good setup for an onroad car tell us how it goes

I think I may get the trinity reflex nt with a sirio .12 engine, Because parts will be easier to find and there are more hop ups and its much more durable, so someone help me decide

smurfola - my .02

first, i have been debating on getting another touring car. looked at the G4, the reflex team only, the MTX3, and the serpent 705. I ruled out the G4 right away. it just wasn't up to par with the rest of em. if u can't afford the team only reflex, the go with the mugen or serpent. they dont cost any more, and are much better cars.

the body u have chosen with work POORLY for any type of racing. get an proline stratus 2.1, or honda accord.

the engine u have chosen is GREAT!!!! however - u cannot use a pullstart on these cars. U also must use a rear exhaust, and the cv-r is not. that engine will not work. Go with either the OS .12TR, or the new Mugen MR12

Run away from those tires!!!! get a good set of foams. TRC, Ellegi, and Jaco make nice ones. 26mm in the front 30mm in the rear. if u must use rubber tires, get some medial pros, the last long, and stick well.

the pipe u have chosen should work just fine.

Hey, I have though about this and parts availability has swayed to the R40 by hpi, so I might buy that...Its either that a serpent.

look heavily at the R40 before buying it - it lacks alot of the important race features that the others have. It doesn't use CVD's, still has cheapo dogbones. It doesn't include a front one-way. No center belt tensioner. A thinner, lower grade chassis. and it uses a weird clutch, it isnt a std clutch, but not a centax either.

I would still go with either the Reflex team only, mugen, or serpent.

No offence NitroAddict, but how could you just rule out the G4? Have you ever tried it? How did you come to that conclusion?

I've raced both Serpent and G4, and I've raced against MTX-3.. The Reflex just looks like an outdated car if you ask me.

The stuff you want to look at for 2004 is laid down servos and low centre of gravity! The only car so far who does this is the G4.

As I've mentioned in other threads I've raced the G4 for some months now, and I'm just extremely happy with it. It won the Norwegian Championship, and improved the trackrecord by amost half a second at that race, while I took home second place in the nationals after 8 races with the G4..

I would'nt even DREAM about getting another car.

But I do have to say: One can buy the most expensive equipment and still go slow, but the difference between the modern cars today (R40,G4 and perhaps the MTX-3) is how easy a novice guy like me can set it up and get it running fast. I'm still running the setup provided in the manual, and so was the guy who won the championship. How many cars can you do that with?
