this may sound dumb so please bare with me. this is my very first time ording online and i was wondering it i have to pick up my package at the post office or will it come to my house.

Should come straight to you, unless you live on top of a hill and the mailman is so lazy that he can't drive his ass up my hill to give me the package... Instead, he writes a slip and asks me to come and pick it up at the post office... damn lazy people.

Word of advice though. Look online to see what parts you need. Then call to make yoru orders. By calling, you can find if they have any specials, and also if there is an updated version of the part you want. I have a OFNA 9.5 buggy that is several years old. Since then they have made many changes and upgrades to the car, so the original part numbers may lead you to the wrong parts or parts inferior to what is available.

wish i posted this a few days ago. thanks for the advise. i am going to do that next time.

Most of the bigger stuff here comes UPS. 5 or 6 hundred $$$ and they just leave it on the front porch! Don't even knock on the door. You would think they would have to be signed for.

You could probably file a claim with UPS. I don't know how far it would get you though. The driver needs to scan the barcodeon the package when he delivers so that's as much proof that they have that it got there. On the other hand you would have zilch for proof that it was stolen. Besides, once they leave it I would assume that it is no longer their responsibility.

Like mentioned above, it is a good idea to call and place your larger more expensive orders at least. Then you can ask them if you can specify how you want the package delivered.

Haven't had problems yet. Does UPS do everyone else that way? Used to have to sign for most of it.

Not trying to derail your thread Danny.

it depends on how the shipper sends it. under normal circumstances they will leave it at your door if you're not home, but if the shipper want a signature delivery they won't leave it w/o someone signing for it. if you're not home when they require a signature they usually leave a note telling you they attempted delievry and that they will try to redeliver up to 2 more times before they ship it back to the sender.

when I bought my T-Maxx tranny case from Hardcore Racing they wanted a signature and I wasn't home, I knew I wouldn't be home when they tried to redeliver so I called UPS and told them I would pick it up at the distribution center. Another  to Hardcore for taking care of their customers. It's nice to know that some companies actually care after the product has left their facility.

If you live in housing like an apartment or condo they MUST have you sign for it. If you live in a single housing unit, its up to the UPS driver to make a judgment call. If you didn't sign for it you can file a claim. A lot of UPS drivers may deliver it to a neighbor and have them sign for it or leave a call tag for you to go get it at their office. It all depends on the neighborhood and the driver.

If you concerned about it, tell the shipper in an e-mail or on the order form to require a signature for delivery. In my case I ask them to NOT require a signature. Just a warning, I you do like If do, there is no way to file a claim.

In my case, The UPS and USPS know me by name. I ship hundreds of packages a week and receive 30-50 per week. Doesn't matter if they ship to my house or office they just deliver it to my office. I have had the same drivers (UPS and USPS) for many years and their routes covers both my home and business.
