Ok I don't own a LST or LST2 but I do own a Muggy form Team Losi,
Here is my question. A friend purchased the Muggy and I watched the Muggy perform I loved it so much I got one a week later.

After about week of off and on running the one way bearing inside the engine kept slipping, You would stick the rotorstart in the back of the engine and the engine won't turn over. We called Horizon Hobby tech support on the problem, they told us that during break in you run the muggy rich and the oil in the engine was causing the one way bearing to slip, take it out and clean it with some contact cleaner and re-install it.

Which we did, yes the one way bearing was catching again, but I took my Muggy out and ran it within a few minutes the bearing frozon on the shaft.

My friend now not even sure if you wants to run his till we get some replacement one way bearings.

Any other sugguestion on what we might do as far as cleaning them.
Does anyone else have this problem? Or are we going to have to stock up on the one way bearing?

Thanks for any help you can give us......

What did you use for cleaning? Also when starting it with the spinstart, How long do you let it spin for? Really should be no more than 5 sec. If you do it more it can be a cause to a bad one way.
I suggest to prime the engine without the ignitor by plugging the exhaust tip. Look at the fuel line as fuel should make its way to the carb. Just before it gets there, stop. Then attach your ignitor and try to start it again.

Hope this helps you.

For your problem of the bearing freezing on the shaft, once the bearing is frozen is it cocked at an angle? When one of the needle bearings fail, it will push the bearing to one side on the shaft. Premature needle bearing wear can be atributed to a one way shaft that is out of round or has wear on it. What does your one way shaft look like? Do you have a set of calipers to measure it's diameter and check to see if it is out of round or oversized?

Question answered:
Contact cleaner for electric RC motors - wouldn't have matter more then the 5 sec the one way bearing wouldn't catch to start the engine.

One of the needle bearing did fall out after hammering the one way bearing off the shaft. Since the Muggy's are only 2 weeks old and only have been driven a short time after break the shaft looks fine, I purchased a new shaft and the diameter seem to be fine after measuring both.

The big question I'm asking is this something that going to happen a lot?

I have been runinng RC trucks for about 3 years now (2 Revo's and a T-Maxx) so I know a little bit on the one way bearing for those, I run those for about 5 or 6 run's then take them out and clean them, so far I have only had to replace one.

I'm new to the Team Losi truck and muggy, and the one way bearing being inside the engine, thats why I'm asking for any suggestion.
I'm beginning to think I had a defective bearing or one that was on the way out.
My friend is a littled scare to run his till we get hold of some more one way bearings in case the same happens to his.
