This is one of my customers and long time friends

he is in his 89 mustang twin Turbo's, the car best pass ever was a 8.40 @ 167 mph. he let out when the car started to spin the ires and his data logger recorded he was @ 100mph before the 1/8 mile. his drivers rear hit the 1/8 mile timer
Enjoy

That would be a mid-14 second 1/4 mile pass??? Sorry, but I just love it when someone says they do sub-9's on a 1/8th track. So??? I was running sub-12's back in the late 80's in my 68 Mustang (390 no less!) in the quarter mile. I am sure I could have hit the 9's--maybe the 8's in the eighth. If you want to impress me go run on a 1/4 mile track. JMO, and nothing against that car nor it's owner! 167 MPH in the eighth is crazy fast, folks!

sorry but 8.40 at 167 would be a qurter mile run....if it was 167 in the eighth it would be a 3 second pass...i know this because my dads car runs 8.63 in the quarter with 164 mph..

Sorry if i didnt make it clear....his best time was 1/4 mile time. he let out out it before the 1/8 and was doin 100mph...

Wow! What a great save.
I just KNOW that once he regained control, his heart was moving twice as fast as the car.

I asked him if he had to change his underwear when he got out of the car....He just smiled

my dad was racing in brainerd minisota and as he was about at the 1/8th mile mark the other car came straight across the center line...i have a picture somewhere where you can see he literally missed the other car by less then a foot....it was really insane and it scared the crap out of me cause i had the thought of him getting hit and loosing the cars aswell as geting hurt..
