my 2c worth, i had a voltage sort-of guage on 1 of my airplanes few years back, it had (i think) 7 digital light indicators 3-green, 2 yellow, & 2 red, i used it on a JR 1800mha 4-cell pack, i guess thats a 4.8 volt pack, you might check some really good eletronics parts store, the 1 down the street from me has every gaget, gismo, & really strange things i ever saw. Why not bone up on what you want & build it! there's a web site www.how stuff works.com that has everything from atomic energy to how ball point pens work, when i have some idle time, i go there just confuse myself:mex:

I think I might head over to Radio Shack tomorrow and see if I might not be able to build one. Maybe a how to for the site is in the works :banana:
 
i doubt the rat shack has anything. I have the Hobbico VoltWatch (still haven't been able to field test yet though) but from what i have been able to test the voltwatch works great with 6V. I think 6V is the max. It a great little gadget. Cirrus also makes a 6V battery watch. You can see it at Ballisticbatteries.com web site.
 
SDMax is right about radio shack, junk. last time (3 years ago) i was there they tried to sell me a solar powered can opener:breakdown

found it. It's made by a company called i4c Products. I was wrong, the rpice is still sketchy at $39.95. I'll stick to my hobbico...

It looks like that's the one without the aluminum case and the wire just comes straight out the back eh?
 
Your best bet is to get the cirrus one. It's almost like the Hobbico one with the LED's, but it's not as nice looking. And it's only $20 (at most). The cirrus one also can take 6 V with no problem. It's cheaper than spending $40.....
 
But it does look as good as it preforms and probably isn't water proof with that open circuitry :thumbdown I like the looks of the one in the metal case :D
 
true about the looks, but i think the other $60 one isn't water proof either. I think i may have seen the cirrus one come in a clear plastic, not sure though. If only that digital display meter was around $20 range .......
 
I seen the spray and the dip at HarborFreight today. Was wonderring what might be better for a radio tray application. I was thinking of spreading the dip in a shallow pan, only putting about 3/8" of liquid in the bottom, and just dipping the bottom edge of the radio tray cover. I think this would create the gasket effect I'm looking for without the mess nor the need of coverring the whole thing.

Servos I might just spray.

Servo wires could use it too. Just a couple extra thin thin layers to help protect against abrasions.

I also wonderred if it might even help with the inside hub area of rims. I have the HB threaded hubs for the savage and figure that if I use one of those and the dip, I can fill any gap there might be in the rims. This could be a long shot but a thought none the less.

The spray may be good for an extra thin layer of protection on the inside of a freshly painted lid too. I'm curious of the added weight.....

water seal

you might stop in a boat supply store, they gotta have spray or dip stuff to keep ya dry, might even have something we never heard of:banana:
