I use a handheld duratrax Flashpoint it is small cheap and accurate.and as for a failsafe I was leaning towards a dynamite one.But I will what and see what people say about it.
I am sure the traxxas onboard is good but I just like the hand helds better.

That is from HPI some it is most likly a good choice now all u need is a charger

I run the venom failsafe on my Revo and NTC3, no problems and easy to setup. As far as temp, I've heard the onboard aren't the most accurate. I use the one from Tempgun, it looks like the duratrash one except black. I have it on one of the retractable cord reels for an id card. I just clip it anywhere on me, grab it, take the reading and let go, and it goes right back out of my way.

I have herd good things about venom. that failsafe is probly better then the dynamite one.
another good thing to have is a throttle return spring small cheap and just adds insurence.

i run venom failsafes on all vehicles but my xray which has a failsafe built into the reciever. i run a venom temp guage on my buggy, and have tested it against my ofna hand held. when properly installed i found the venom to be within 1 degree of my hand held temp guage.
