i need new shoes for my maxx and i have maxx masher tires on the back and the stock ones in the front. i was thinking on getting the bow-tie's because i drive on road/hard dirt w/rocks and sometimes bark. what do you guys think?

Mulchers. The bowties will be bald in no time on hard dirt and road.
Mulchers are OK for road and dirt...they'll rip like crazy on the rocks, grass, bark, etc.
Bowties are GREAT racing tires, but they don't last long at all.

do you still have them on your truck chris? if so, do you have pics of them mounted?

YOU guys say that the mulchers are good on "soft" places(like bark and grass) and SOMETIMES road. it sounds like to me that you just LIKE the mulchers more than then the two tires performence itself. so if any one who is DRIVING one of these reply.:bandit:

Under race conditions the Bow Ties are better suited to dry, hard packed conditions. The Mulchers are best on loamy or loose conditions. According to Pro-Line, the Mulchers are made of a harder compound rubber than the Bow Ties. In my opinion the Mulchers make better all around basher tires. Both of these tires will wear out rather quickly running them on the street. The Mashers hold up very well on all terrains. You might also consider other manufactures tires. IMEX and TRC make some nice tires. I beleive X_789 has had good luck with the IMEX Bajas. TRC makes a tread that is designed for grass and street running.

I havent raced A LOT but I have hit the track a bit. I have never had problems with the arms. I have however had many complaints about the ride height on the track. The lower the better. And with my setup, it was pretty high. I in a rebuild process now and will be incorporating a lower and softer suspension.

Well, it will probably stay clean for the next 4 months now. Snow, sleet, rain and salt will keep it in the house. Although I am thinking about the winter Fun I could have. I have another CVX Hyper on the way and will need to break in. Will see.

I must confess Chris the pictures of your truck shamed me into cleaning mine today.
One high pressure wash and pressure air line dry later I think my truck may ,just may, by the smallest of margins be cleaner than yours. LOL

Well I have xxx-nt also and I have used the stock tires on the street because I have diffrent ones to race with and let me tell you they don't hold up as good as you think. Listen pretty much to what backspur says. For what you are wanting all around the Mulcher will be a good choice. I do have some Imex Bajas and I do think they out perform the Mashers personally. Now if you are going be doing a lot of driving on hard packed dirt and blue grove then the bow ties are great. The key is the only thing that truley holds up well on street is street tires. So I would say mulchers for what you have listed. X
