:winnar: hey everyone
i have that 85 dollar fantom tuned pipe and a guy i work with said that with a supercharger and a .18 it was to restrictivev what do you guys think??? i got a dual exaust cvec pipe but I'm having trouble installing it i have to take it down
to my machine shop and make the exaust hole bigger. should i waste my time doing that???

Dual exhaust is gonna make you loose power. I ran that same combo on my truck and I used the sirio pipe made for the engine. In fact I am selling that engine and supercharger and pipe. No replacement for displacement, go BIG block!

Personally? Dump the supercharger. Waste of money in my opinion.

As for the right pipe, depends on what you want in performance. Broad pipes with a steep exhaust divergent cone will give low end performance. Narrow pipes with gradual divergent cones will give top end performance.

As for the pipe being too restrictive, that might be the case with your set-up. In this instance, you may need to look into stepping up to a pipe designed for a larger engine. Something in the .21 class might solve your problems, but that would require some careful crafting to get the connection from the .18 header to work well with the .21 pipe. It's an idea, and it solves the "restriction". BUT I am not 100% certain it will work.
