what is a good on road car? I'm looking for something to build w/alot of hop ups.

Either a LD3 PRO or a NTC3. If your on a budget, buy a HPI RS4 SS KIT, the ss is a good starter.

links please just for visual I'm not in to the on road thing i thought the 4 tec was agood ride.but it was bashed to many times.

i can get the ntc3 but not ld3 it could be me i live on the inter coastol are phone lines are not to good w/ fog I'm at 16 k

your link for the ld3 did not work i dont know if it is my computer or your link when the fog is out my computer is slow because the phone lines get moister in them.this does not let me hookup sometimes.i live on the gulf coast .

Go with the NTC3, I think its the most popular car in the price range, and there are plenty of hop-ups for it.

K-factory make some of the best parts for the NTC3. Do a search on Ebay for NTC3, and Nitro TC3

thing that turns me off about ofna is parts availability. There is none around here..ntc3 is popular so people know a lot about it...

The NTC3 has a ton of hopup's, this I can tell you.. As for others, I'm not absolutely sure. But most will have a selection. I've only got to see one NTC3 and it was hopup's out the ying yang. lol

The LD3 is a very nice car for the price. Get the 2 Speed and you will NOT be dissapointed. The problem is that its so new there are very few hop-ups available. Those that are can only be gotten either driectly from Ofna or from an Ofna Auth Dealer.

The NTC3 has been around alot longer and therefore there are alor more aftermarket parts available. It also seems to be a very popular car at the races I've seen video on on the net.

Get a Mugen MTX-3. It's so much more solid all around than a NTC3. You'll break something the first time you hit the boards with a NTC3.

I use .12's in my touring cars. I think Schumacher is the only one who puts a .21 in there touring car. You'd be surprised how much power a high performance .12 can produce. Much more than you can actually use.

I Have a Picco Red Hat .12 in my LD3 and it will spin the tires off the starting line if I'm not carefull. Once I went to Foam tires this was drastically reduced but I have to be carefull in a turn or the rear will still break loose on accelleration.

You have to remember how light the on-road cars are. .12 or .15 is all you really need. If you get a high performance .15 you will almost definitly need to change out your gearing to make use of all that power.

.21s and .25s are fine for trucks as some of them are like 15-20 pounds with all the titanium and aluminum hopups people use. But most On roads are less than 10Lbs.
