I was just given an older Maxx. It has a 3.3 with electric start. It is looks alot different than my new T-Maxx. It doesn't have the slipper clutch like the newer one. Can any one tell me anything about it? I looked for a model number and can't find one. The Traxxas web site doesn't show anything on it. Any help would be appreciated.

i found this on the traxxas site its a bunch of the pdf files for the older models. http://traxxas.com/node/29482 Does your model have a narrow oval hole on the bottom of the chassis where the tip of exhaust would have ran out threw the bottom of the truck?

I will post some photos tomorrow. I am getting ready to leave to go back to SC from NC. It will be late when I get home.

I figured it out. It's an S-Maxx with the 3.3 engine. I am going to try and get it running tomorrow. The wire to the glow plug is fubar, so I will have to work on it. Hopefully no other issues.

Snip the wire to the glow plug and get a glow plug ignitor. You can still use the ezstart the same way as before, just without the blue ignitor wire. I've used this system for a while now and it works great.

My opinion part it out I got a T Maxx gave to me and it ran but more money in servos in parts than to try and sell it out right that's my opinion

i agree, ditch the blue wire. i did and have never looked back ! took me awhile to make the switch, but now that i did! wish i had done it sooner !

Finally had time to mess with it today. The blue wire was not as bad as I thought. Put some new heat shrink on the glow plug end and it worked. Actually got it to start and run for a little while. Maybe this thing is not in that bad shape. Need to do a little wheel alignment though.
