ok so i messed with the HSN MSN and LSN trying to get a cold weather tune, but now i wanna go back to fac settings.. the manuel only says the HSN which i got, but what is the midrange needle and low speed needle factory settings? its NOWERE in the manuel.. k5.9 SavXL

Factory settings for all HPI big block 3-needle engines are flush to housing. The only reason I know this is because I was looking up the same information Monday while trying out a HPI 4.6 I picked up from h82luze.

right and i think if I'm not mistaken that axial makes those motors. so id just wait till some one who knows there stuff comes here (Rolex, lessen, olds)

F that i just relized what the hpi help line is for lol.. for $550 I'm calling them anytime i need to hahah.. cody check your email

Well I gave up on cold weather tuning yesterday...I guess i will just wait till spring...lol

Good idea. Yes Kingstar makes the Axial's and both the K series engines.
Put the LSN flush with the ball link and the MSN flush with the end of the carb. Put a dab of silicone over the MSN to seal it, they are prone to leaking and falling out.
There is no need to adjust it. They should not even put them on these engines.
Adjusting a MSN afffects the LSN to HSN transition. So when you turn in a MSN you need to back out on the LSN the same amount to keep the bottom end mixture correct.
