Air filter oil is air filter oil. I do not see any reason you couldn't use the spray on your RC air filter. I would caution to not oversoak the filter as that would obstruct air flow.

I would recommend against the 3-in-1 on the inside. After Run Oil or Marvel Mystery Oil would be better. ARO is inexpensive and you do not need to use very much. The 3-in-1 is not viscous enough to properly coat the internals. In order to use it, you would need to basically soak the entire engine in it.

As for oil on the gears, which gears? You could put a very light coat on the spur and clutch bell, but I would recommend otherwise. The gears that are on this (except the diff gears) are designed to be dry run. You might find a lithium grease on gears inside a tranny case on the RC, but other than that the spur and clutch bell are not typically lubricated. If you do lubricate the spur and clutch bell, be careful not to get any lube on the clutch shoes (bad for performance)...and expect the gears to collect dust in the oil. THe dust/dirt in the oil is a bad thing as it acts like sand paper. At 30,000+ rpms that would be like applying a grinder to the gear and would reduce its lifespan.
