I cleaned my air filter thorughly with nitro fuel, and let it dry for a little bit
then I applied some air filter oil.
Just wonder how much I should be using.
I know the filter shouldnt be dripping with oil, and it shouldnt be just a drop or 2........just confirming that the filter should be completely sufficiently covered. The oil color was a redish pink, and it made the filter a light pink color.....so I think this should be enough.

If I were to squeeze the filter to a really small size, it would start to form a little puddle oil....is this too much or not?!?

Thats what I was thinking, same goes for if the motor was running too rich than too lean!!

if you put to much oil its going to run rich and you are going to have tuning issues, what i do i put it in i zip lock bag put a little filter oil in the bag and coat it evenly dont put to much oil just so the outside of it has a coating

From the way I oiled it, I dont think it has been overdone, I can take a pic of the color of the filter and post it if need be just to show that it is a tiny bit pink from the color of the oil.
Just making sure I did it the right way......looks so far like noone is REALLY concerned with the way that I did it, and I shouldnt have and problems with it.

Squeezing it to small size is a way to make sure you don't have too much (it drips out the excess) which is what you've done there... but I'd hate to have excess because every drop is precious. I would just put a few drops and 'massage' the foam until I get an even colour. If I can't get even colour, I'll just put more oil and massage some more.

Hmm, the ziplock bag is a good idea. Keeps your fingers clean :D I should do that for my next oiling.
