Are you guys oiling the Motorsaver pre-filter?
 
Yes - with MotorSaver filter oil.

You can use a wide variety of oils for them, I just bought the blue goo from Motorsaver so I use what they suggest.
 
I got some Duratrax filter oil from TowerHobbies and I planned on using it for the inner filter (when I clean it). I just was not sure if I should oil the prefilter.
 
I would not oil the outer foam. This is used for the bigger dirt particles and need no oil. Just wash and dry.
