I saw that live last night. It wasn't pretty. The shame was he nailed the 720 over the gap. All he had to do was stick a (relatively simple on other pipes) 540 and he would have wrapped it up. That was just a grizzly fall.

The fact that he was wearing his helmet and landed rear-end first might have been the saving factors. Either way, the guy is incredibly lucky. I sense a Vegas trip in his future!

My son and I were watching that live last night, that was crazy! Thank God he wasn't killed, it's a miracle he wasn't seriously injured. I bet he hurts like a mother today though.

I bet if he would have been seriously injured or killed it he had landed about 5 more feet towards the center where its more level. Still it is unbelievable how he was able to walk away.

Got an update tonight. Guess he's in the ICU with a lacerated or bruised liver and a concussion...

I also seen that live he is still in the hospital with a bruised lung and liver from what I've heard.
But that is FAR from what he could have gotten from that fall!

He could have walked away with gold if he would have nailed that quarter pipe at least he got second for his pain.. hope hes still doing alright..

even with those minor injuries, he is lucky to be alive....maybe next time he should try using a parachute?

I also heard today there is nothing wrong with his liver but he does have a broken wrist.
