I have a new ultra lx2. It is all stock except the servos I upgraded to hitecs. I am looking to make it faster and looking for any options. It is hard to find much but I'm sure there are some out there. What gearing are people running on the spur gear? up or down teeth?

I gave up looking for go fast parts on it. I've seen ppl say put a picco .21 in it but thats all.

Yeah I thought maybe it would be possible to change the center gear or main gear or even change the diff gears for different gear ratio but I've found nothing.

not really. Trying to get good speed coming off of a turn and hit a jump fast enough to clear the table top. Guess I am looking for acceleration but still like to keep the top end speed.

What the heck? Do you have two names?

I know what you mean though. You may want to look at a two speed transmission.
Or see is theres a racers thread on 1/8 buggies i bet they know all the tricks

You can change the clutch bell and the spur gear to suite your needs. (You can’t really change the diff ratio)

What engine are you running? The ultra LX2 comes with a Force .28 (actually too much power and too heavy for the buggy). Your buggy will perform better with a good .21 sized engine and have longer run times. (Lighter weight, and easier to manage the power to the ground).

How long is the table top? How long is the run-up to the table top? Are other people clearing the table top? If they are, take a look at their setup and see what’s different.

Depending on the buggy, track layout/conditions and your driving ability sometimes you just have to take a triple as a double/single or short jump a table top. Knowing when is the biggest factor in being a good consistent driver.

It is a small tabletop. About 6 feet from the first jump and only 5-6 feet to line up and hit the jump. My brother has a electric buggy 8 and clears no problem because the batteries.

I'd also consider your clutch setup. You should consider upgrading your clutch (or tuning it for your track). It is an Industry standard to put heavy springs on factory kits. If you are on a loose track fishtailing out of corners preventing you to line up your jump, your springs are too tight. Also recommend a heavier flywheel to slow down the
initial spool up of the engine for the first 2 to 3 feet. This is the most critical part. If your track is super blue grooved surface with a weak clutch setup. then you engine will feel like it is bogging down, this is when you need to spring up the clutch and lighten the flywheel.
