Here's a before and after photo of stock savage tires and then after with OFNA tires. I go from a 16" width to a 20 1/2" width. I can't wait to try these wheels. I will let you know how they work, some pros and cons.

dang that looks like a big difference. do they weigh any more? they look like they do. can't wait for some pro's and con's!

i have the big joes and i didnt even think about that. they look to be the same size. then if I'm right that answers my question. they do slow my savage down a little bit on the takeoff.

Larger tires that are heavy will make the truck stable on the ground and help with flips when airborne. The key is the getting the thing airborne. If you have a weak engine, you may not get the desired height from the truck.

I run IMEX JumboMaxx wheels on my Savage. Great for offroad and keep the rubber side down, not so good for big jumps with short run-ups.

EP brings some good issues up with regards to the drive train. Just make certain you have a stronger steering servo to handle the load of the larger tires. Make certain you have solid gear mesh between clutch and spur. The tranny should be able to handle it.

I have always used nobby tires are the big joes or jumbo maxxes better?

All i do is bash with my t-maxx (getting a savage in about 2 months can't wait!!!!!!!)Thats the truck i might put the tires on.

Better? This is all relative. The answer depends a lot on what you want to do with the truck. Pinned, knobby, or other mulcher style tires are great for traction on most surfaces. Aggressive tread patterns are great for rough terrain and traction while climbing said terrain. These are generalities, but more specific information can be provided when you let us know what you intend to do with your "new" truck.

Just bashing i race buggys. All i will be doing is bashing my savage.
