I just bought an Ofna Micro Fail Safe for my MP-7.5 and when I turn on the receiver and unit, the light flashes. According to the units instructions that means that the battery power is low. I have tested the battery at the receiver and it shows 6volts. Even tested it with a 2 amp load on it and it still is holding at 6volts. When the two servos are put under load and movement they will draw almost 2 amps through the receiver and the battery still holds the 6 volts, yet the fail safe says there is a low voltage condition. Everything works as it should (including the fail safe) when powered up or with the transmitter turned off.
Anybody have this problem? I only rely on the fail safe for radio interference protection and I don't use it for battery power indication as it is in the radio box and out of sight.

Yes, I followed the instructions. I guess that there are alot of kids on this forum that wouldn't think to do that first, but that is how I determined that everything works fine as far as the brakes being applied when radio is turned off. I tried with the unit set to apply full brakes, and with the unit set to apply partial brakes. I have left it in the latter set-up as I don't see a need to apply full brakes. When I get my engine installed I will also be installing a throttle return spring.

iam having the same prob.the fail safe is working fine but after about the thrid run.ill hit the gas and there is a delay in the responce.then it takes off???????????????????????????????and yes i did set it.this is the first out of 5 venom i have run that has did this

hmm I had that problem when my TX batteries were low and it was ONE battery in my TX that caused it all to foul up. I would check that and also to make sure there is continuity with the leads.

Mine flashes too. As long as it works the way it's supposed to, what's the diff?

I have checked the power at the receiver and it is 6 volts. I have checked the power with a load of 2 amps at the receiver and it still holds at 6 volts. 2 amps is what the servos max load is at the receiver as measured at the receiver. If there was a bad cell the voltage would drop to around 4.5 volts with a load on the battery pack.
I made an in line connector set that I can measure battery voltage or amperage as it goes to the receiver.

do you have another ride you can test it on? Maybe a different battery pack?

Checked it with another battery pack and receiver, yet the low battery warning flashes. I gues that I'll just ignore it as I don't use it as a battery checker anyways.
It works perfect except for the power low warning.

i am sure you have it worked out by now, but i use the same unit and it will be a quick flash when it is working properly, and a slow flash meaning it will stay lit just a bit longer when the battery is low, and will stay on when it is engaging the brake, or there is interferance.

I guess that you are right. It just doesn't say anything about the rate of flashing in the manual.
The fail safe works perfect.

Has anyone bothered to contact the manufacturer?
If this issue is common, maybe they have some info to share with us.
