OFNA 9.5 shocks on my maxx

hey guys, i got a pack of 8 OFNA 9.5 threaded shocks for my supermaxx off of ebay. i like them so far, they work really good and were pretty cheap. has anybody else tried these or have them?

not those in piticular. i'm using a set of kyosho aluminum kanai shocks on my mute.

yeah they suck! They are not the same as UE/Ofna supershocks.
I broke 8 count em, 8 shocks before I finally just bought real Supershocks..

The bottoms kept busting open because they machine them deaper and thinner than the Supershocks they make for UE.

However, the valving and control is great. The only draw back is they couldn't handle the weight of my Supermaxx even before the bigblock conversion.

I also drop test mine from 6'.

Sorry to rain on your parade but, I always seemed to break at least on shock within about 5 minutes of getting to the track every one of the 8 times.

Great thing was, Ofna warrenteed every one of them. So once they were all repaired, I sold them to a friend of mine with a buggy.

mine have been working great. i have been to the track atleast 5 times since i have gotten them and havent broken any yet. also i went and did a 10ft air off my friends jump. maybe u just didnt have good luck with them?

yeah thats possible I guess. I still liked them, thats why I stayed with ofna when I got my Supershocks. The performance seems to be the same and thats what I like.

the only thing that i need to do to them is getting a little stiffer spring.

are you running 4 or 8 shocks?

My buddy runs 8 supershox with trinity black springs and 60wt.

I run the XXXheavy blue springs with 65wt and on 4 shocks

i am running 8 of them. i dont know what kind of springs they are on them tho but they are weak.
