well today my favorite person in the world (ups man i know sad?) brought me new goodies including exhaust header proline bowties of 17mm rims and my ofna hex adapters.

well after installing all the goodies i went out back and well forgot to put loctite on the little retainer screws now there all gone. where can i get these little screws??

and do i need to put locktite on the outer 17mm nut because they seemed to work loose as well?

Loctite everything with blue loc-tite. The standard size proline wheels will strip on the Ofna hexes. The ofna hexes are rounded at the hex where it meets the wheel. The LPR wheels are different at the hex and they hold up fine. I don't know why they made the wheel hex area different.

so my proline rims are going to strip on these hexs??

thats really lame i guess ill be buying some other 17mm adapters.. how are the traxxas ones?

i will have to get some of those for a temporary fix i like the design of the buggy style hex

how about the ones from a platinum??

Get the ones from the platinum. Best design I have seen yet. The Maximizer ones will break. I had them and kept snapping the big plastic washers. The hexes work good but they plastic washer cannot hold up to abuse.

i was on another forum and asked the same question and got opposite responses all those guys swear by them as does the local rc track and the three or four revo racers i talked to...even with proline rims

so i will just run them and see what happens worst case scenario i buy the platinum ones and new rims

I don't know what kind I have on 2 of my trucks,I picked them up at the LHS.They are blue anodized and work great never had a single problem. The pins are held in by a small grub screw I guess you call it.I always loc tite these but not the outside nut and its been fine. The Platinum ones work good too.I run proline MTR tires/wheels and Proline LPR all pre mounted.
