i have a problem when i go on this grass field next to my house with only the slightest bit of throttle the car does donuts but only when already moving also because i herd a long burst of throttle kills the engine so i started to do full throttle in 5 second bursts to try to not kill the engine but because when i take my finger off the throttle it just spins again and it gets rely anoying esetialy when at the end of the field when i can't see what its doing propaly so what i wanted to know is what type of tires should i use for grass that will be damp sometimes when i go out this is the place i will mainly go because its only a 2 minute walk i will put a photo of my current tires on hear

my car a hpi rush evo i f this will help
many thanks

A rush evo will spin out FAST because it is 2wd rear wheel drive. even on short dry grass, i had my friends rush spinning before i even hit 1/2 throttle, even more so on tarmac........

If you get some tyres and some self tapping screws, you could make some "studded" tyres, Much like "macguyver" did for his revo in this pic, only he used "Drill Screws".

Read the thread, posts 19 to 27 >> STUDDED TYRES

hmm very good idea but will they still be ok for tarmac/what used to be tarmac but turned into hard gravel stuff roads (if you know what i mean) or will i need somthing like meatlehead matt mentiond (mulchers) for that sort of stuff

if you run an "off road" set (with screws) and an "onroad" set, it makes life easier.

I run 4 different tyre sets on one buggy alone, just to ensure the tyres suit the terrain and i can run the rig properly.

thats what i was about to say ;) you beat me to it ..lol

i have another set for other surfaces

and if anybody decides to try this tire mod ...i strongly suggest that you balance the tires before taking them for a spin ;)

Indeed so. Quoting a useful post is always a good thing, especially if it contains the kind of good info you yourself posted.

No, i'm not trying to make your ego any bigger either :hehe: :p:
