Does anybody have this motor bc I'm looking to get either this or the Picco .26 Mzx.. both of them say direct fit for revo 3.3 which is nice!!!! But which will be a better 75/25 race/bash motor????Race being the 75% as i really want to race!!!!:(

The O.S. TM is a dream to break in, tunes easy and has good useable power for racing.
It's only downside is it is slower on top end than the 3.3. You'll need to back off on the slipper clutch to keep from killing the transmission gears. If you land a jump on the gas it will strip the gears out if you do not loosen the slipper enough.
The Picco .26 I can't comment on. Never owned one. I have heard getting it geared properly is a pain.

I have a Picco .26 and it is crazy powerful. Now gearing....it was not too bad but I left it a tiny bit low geared. Made the T-Maxx super fun to drive for bashing. It is faster on the top end than the OS .21TM....about the same on the bottom I think. Only draw back to the the Picco is you have to get a different engine mount. But even with the $30 mount it is still cheaper than the OS. The OS may be more reliable in the long run but I have no real proof of that. It really is a toss up.

i think when I'm ready to buy ill probably head for the os as its way more than enough power for my first racing season next year!!!

Winning monster truck races is not about the fastest engine. It's about whois patient enough to realize that you are not driving a truggy. It's not going to jump steady, Revo's are very poorly balanced in flight. Especially offcamber jumps.
If you really want to break in to racing, leave the Revo as is, a basher. Buy a 1/8th truggy for racing. So much more fun and durable.
You cna buy a good rtr truggy for what you'll spend trying to make that Revo race worthy, trust me. Been there, done that.

true. i an looking at the new Losi 8ight-t 2.0 rtr with the Dx3s and a starter box!!!
