does anyone know of any manufactures that make steel or aluminium ring and pinon gears for my NTC3. "I don't thing the plastic gears are going to hold up with a .21 conversion project."
please help.

Can't say I do, but I know that Associated is supposed to have some really strong teflon (i think it was) gears that are supposed to be A LOT stronger.

a friend of mine has a novarossi 21 and he had no probs with the gears so you should be fine .

There is no reason to upgrade the spur gears on the NTC3 for the conversion. All .21 powered 8th scale on road racers also use plastic spur gears. I would assume you should be just fine. I havn't heard of the special gears that kwong mentioned, but if you find them, it might be a nice security net.
