I have the ntc3 and whnever i turn the car spins out.... I'm looking to but new tires this week, which tires whould i get that are PREGLUED that will improve handling. I already glued my own tires a few times and i hate it. SO,, which tires will improve handling?

Welcome to RCNT!!!

What you have described sounds more like a setup issue rather than soley a tire problem.

If your car is spinning out when trying to make turns, then it is telling you the front wheels are getting to much grip, and the rears are not getting enough.

Stiffen up the suspension considerably in the front, and soften the rear. Also, add 2 degrees of toe-in in the rear, and 1 degree in the front. Keep your camber set at zero for now.

as for tires - here are some links to the tires i use, as well as some others that are very good.

I setup the car since i drove it, I set up the camber and toe-in factory default. I just need to go buy tires becasue mine got destroyed.

the factory default is good for racing, but if u are still learning, it might be a bit tough to drive - i would increase front toe in, raise the frontride height to 5.5 and stiffen up the front. this will cause the car to push, or understeer. will be slower around a racetrack, but very difficult to spin out, and easier to drive.

I made the toe in a like one degree more than factory, i wish i had that hudy setup system! well i need to go buy wheels to see if it helped.

invader - the setup jig is paramount if u are racing. without one, use the toe in tool that came with the kit while the bumper is removed to get it set to factory settings. then when adjusting the toe in just make sure u turn each turnbuckle evenly, so that regadless of the amount of toe, it is at least even on both sides.

I sorta dident do the toe in evenly before,,,, should i put it all the way to one side and jus tmove it turn by turn?

I was playing with the toe in, and i broke my rear tow ball cups! I'm going to buy new ones and just make it factory setting, I'm also goin to get the blue rear toe turnbuckles, Is there ball cups that are made of aluminum or something?

u broke the light grey plastic ball ends????? WOW! those are rpm ends, assuming u have the team kit, and not the RTR.

The only thing i would replace would be the actual turnbuckles. replace with titanium. the steel ones work fine for a few months, but they eventually break.

I got the rtr. its my first car. and ya I'm replacing the turnbuckles with the ti ones.

WHat is the part number or somthing for the plastic ball ends that come with the kit?

i have the kit, not the rtr. it already comes with rpm ball ends.

replace ALL the ball ends with RPM's they are cheap - about 4.00 a set of 8. u can get them at your LHS

invader- if u dont plan on racing - those two tools are a great investment. Christian has those exact gauges for his NTC3.

If you plan on getting serious about racing though, spend the extra dough, and get a set up jig. They are about 100.00 - so dont spend all that money unless u plan on racing, for bashing - the ones u picked out are perfect!
